the mosaic of humanity

The project was born in Venice in 2014 with the aim of involving 65536 people to cover a surface of 800m2, to be presented at the Venice Biennale of 2021.
Opus Magnum is a work created by the Ecuadorian artist Manuel Carrión.
The work travels around the world, in exhibitions and conferences held in Venice, Rome, Paris, Ecuador and other art capitals of the whole world.
The largest collective work of art in all history to date is based on the desire to awaken people's conscience by allowing art and culture to return to being at the center of our society.
Each year different themes and characters were discussed: for example, Peggy Guggheneim, Marco Polo, Casanova ...

Participating in the Opus Magnum allows you to enter the mosaic of humanity. Your work will be part of humanity's masterpiece and will travel around the world.
The works are already traveling throughout Italy, Paris and Ecuador; and this is only the beginning!
The cost of participation is 10 euros.

PARTICIPATE WITH A SCHOOL
Participating in Opus Magnum with your class or school can be a truly exciting adventure for pupils.
It will allow them to make art, to see their works in different exhibitions and, above all, to enrich themselves with an artistic, cultural and social experience at the same time. Opus Magnum thinks that everyone can be an artist and invites everyone to participate in the mosaic of humanity.
To participate with a school class, the cost is 5 euros per person.
